THE DEPTH OF EVIL
(a.k.a. SPY GUY)
Cast and Crew
The cast and crew of "The Depth of Evil" collect their award for Best Picture.  (L to R: Jenny Tyrrell, Erin Griggs, Arman Partamian, Anthony Piercy, Michael K. Anderson, Jimmy Blakley; class instructors Barry Reynolds and James George look on in the background)

When the evil Nemesis Fiend (Michael K. Anderson) hijacks the Big MacNuke, the world's first hamburger-shaped nuclear device, it's up to Spy Guy (Arman Partamian) to save the day in this spoof of spy films and Russian novels.

*sigh*  My first solo outing as director back in high school.  In retrospect, it's a bit too in-jokey and overlong, but it still has its charms.  And the "checkers" scene remains a classic...

Produced for the "Film Unit" in Central High School's TAG class; at the end of the year it was tradition to premiere all the films made that semester and have the students vote on which ones were most worthy of recognition.  "The Depth of Evil" won awards for Best Screenplay, Best Actor (Michael K. Anderson), Best Director and Best Picture.
